Jazz Bassist Jonah Jonathan Interviews Isaiah Richardson. Isaiah Richardson is a clarinet, saxophone, and harmonica player from the Bronx. His group Brown Rice Family is a well known international band based in New York. Isaiah has performed, toured, and recorded with multi-grammy award winning artists such as Fred Hammond, Yolanda Adams, Hezekiah Walker, Kim Burrell, Kelly Price, Tye Tribbett, and Meli’sa Morgan to name a few and also has performed on a Tiny Desk Concert with multi-grammy award winning band Monsieur Perine from Colombia. Isaiah was a member of Onyx Club band on HBO‘s “Boardwalk Empire”as well as the pilot episode for HBO’s “Vinyl” also directed by Martin Sourcese as well and written and produced by Mick Jagger. lsaiah has performed at known venues such as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Zinc Jazz club, Smalls, Minton’s, Blue Note, JALC Dizzy Jazz Club, Cotton Club, Flushing Town Hall, The Kennedy Center, Summerstage, and Billboard Live in Japan. Isaiah has performed on five continents to include Australia, Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America. Mr Richardson speaks fluent Japanese, and Chinese.
